On October 3, 2024, the All Pakistan Student Union (APSU) proudly led a visit to the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Developmental Disorders (RCCD), with almost 30 dedicated volunteers from Shifa College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The event was supported by compassionate psychologists and doctors who generously shared their expertise, creating a meaningful and enriching experience for everyone involved.
Our team spent three hours with the children, organizing a range of fun, interactive activities specially designed to engage and entertain them. The children’s joy was contagious as they participated eagerly, and the day was capped off with the distribution of thoughtful gifts to bring them even more happiness.
Additionally, a mental health awareness session was conducted by our attending psychologists, who offered insights on supporting children with developmental disorders. This session was a valuable learning opportunity for our volunteers, equipping them with essential skills to use in future medical camps and community service initiatives.
This visit exemplified the APSU commitment to community engagement, empathy, and impactful service. We are incredibly proud of our volunteers for their dedication and look forward to many more opportunities to make a positive difference.
