33rd Free Medical Camp in Ghora Mast, Islamabad – Scabies relief and Community care

On May 22, 2024, the All Pakistan Students Union (APSU) marked another milestone by organizing its 33rd Free Medical Camp at DIL Community School, Ghora Mast, Islamabad. Collaborating with the Volunteer Force Against Hepatitis Transmission (VFAHT) Society, the camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services to an underserved community, focusing on a pressing issue: a scabies outbreak in the area.

Scabies, a contagious skin condition, had become a significant concern in Ghora Mast. Understanding the urgency, the APSU team—comprising dedicated Doctors—came prepared with medical supplies, PPE, and a clear mission: to provide treatment, counseling, and hope. Upon arrival at 10 AM, the team quickly set up stations, donning protective gear to prevent the spread of the infection. The goal was clear: treat patients efficiently while ensuring safety for all.

During the camp, over 250 patients received free medical check-ups, testing, medications, and counseling services. The team worked tirelessly, ensuring that every patient received personalized attention and care. The community’s response was overwhelming, with locals expressing deep gratitude for the initiative.
