On October 25th, a group of volunteers from APSU had the privilege of visiting the MGQ Memorial Trust Old Age Home. The visit was an enriching experience as our team spent quality time with the elderly residents, engaging in meaningful conversations and providing much-needed care. Volunteers conducted psychological assessments, along with vital checks such as blood pressure and blood sugar tests. Physiotherapy sessions were offered to those in need, helping improve their physical comfort.
The team also shared lunch with the residents, creating a warm and interactive atmosphere that fostered strong connections. We were deeply impressed by the excellent facilities and management at the trust, and we sincerely appreciated the initiative of the trust in providing such a caring environment for the elderly.
This visit was a truly humbling experience, deepening our appreciation for our elders and inspiring us to continue supporting their well-being. We look forward to more visits and hope to further strengthen our bond with the elderly community.
